Thank you for considering being a coach for RYAA Soccer. We will strive to make your experience with RYAA incredibly fun, successful and rewarding.
We will match your experience and preferences with a team that needs you as a coach. Our teams have a broad range of ages and experience, so whether or not you have ever coached before, or even played soccer before, we have a team for you.
To help you be successful, we will provide you with:
The things you need to be a coach in RYAA are:
Estimated Weekly Time Commitment: 3 - 6 hours, depending on age group
The fall soccer season begins in late August and ends the first Saturday in November. If you coach a team of 6 and 7 year olds, practice is once a week at Cesar Chavez school. Older teams practice twice per week at different locations in the community. You can start your practice between 5 pm and 6pm, depending on your availability. Games are on Saturdays at Cesar Chavez school and last between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the age. If you would like to coach your own children, we can arrange that.
4-5 Year Old Program
If you intend to coach your child and he/she is 4 or 5 years old, then you are in the right place, because ALL the parents are the coaches. You do not need to apply as a coach. We will have a master coach on hand to teach you what to do and give you time each Saturday to spend with your child teaching them soccer.
